As c*nnabis becomes legal across the U.S., it recenters in the public eye not as a vice, but as a form of connection; to self, to slowness, to the plant and nature itself. No longer confined to the margins, it now sits within a broader return to plant medicine, personal ritual, and intentional living. Captured on film to embrace that shift in softness. It reflects a moment of autonomy and elegance, a soft rebellion through presence. In a culture that often rushes past meaning, both the medium and the subject ask us to slow down and reconsider our relationship with the natural world.

As the c*nnabis industry expands, so must our values. True progress means continued advocacy for access, for integrity in cultivation and production, and for full legalization that prioritizes equity and repair. More than a booming market, cannabis today is a chance for reconnection. With something rooted and real and meant to be shared, respectfully and freely.

My start in cann*bis came alongside a family cancer diagnosis and a family veteran PTSD diagnosis. I watched other medicines cause irritability, nausea, sleepless nights, and a terrifying trip to the emergency room due to being prescribed a toxic mix of medications. With the start of using this plant medically I watched nightmares fade, life come back, and recovery happen. While I don’t believe it’s the end all be all answer, I do believe in more access for people to get to rule it out for themselves alongside more research with less barriers to new knowledge.
